Your local guide will meet you in Djúpivogur and take you south along the coast through quiet Eastfjords landscapes. Along the way, we may make selected scenic stops depending on weather, light, timing and road conditions.
The main highlight of the tour is Stokksnes, where the striking Vestrahorn mountain rises above black sand dunes and the Atlantic coastline. When conditions are right, the area offers beautiful reflections, wide open views and excellent photography opportunities.
Admission to the Stokksnes / Vestrahorn area is included in the tour price.
This is an easy private scenic tour with no long hike. Guests should be able to walk short distances on natural surfaces, black sand and uneven ground. The pace is relaxed, with time to enjoy the landscape and take photos.
For cruise passengers, pickup and return are planned around your ship schedule. Please make sure to provide your cruise ship name, arrival time and departure time when booking.
The route and stops may be adjusted depending on weather, road conditions, light and available time.
Please bring warm layers, a waterproof jacket, comfortable shoes and a camera or phone for photos. Bottled water and admission to the Stokksnes / Vestrahorn area are included.
